5+ stars! Service, view, quality of food, and interior deserve high praise. Request window seating when booking a reservation. We arrived at 6:20 pm on Saturday and waited about 5 minutes to sit in the window seat. *Food*: Complimentary bread: warm sourdough with creamy butter started my appetite! Steamed Mussels Kettle: comes with a bucket to put shells and 4 bone marrow bread sticks. The breadsticks were super crunchy and tasty. The Calabrian chili gave that good spicy ending to a slightly creamy soup. It was so yummy to soak the complimentary bread into the soup. There were plenty of mussels to share between 4 people. Some Mussels were big and some were tiny. Overall great appetizer that's not too heavy to start. Thai Brussels Sprouts: Lightly roasted, cut in half. The pieces were huge! They were a tad sweet but very delicious. I think it had a bit of a spice kick at the end but overall sweeter than spicy. Grilled Seafood Trio: 2 big scallops, 4 huge shrimps, and 1 palm-sized salmon with mashed potatoes and 2 pieces of thick asparagus. The scallops and shrimp were cooked to perfection. They were very juicy. Upon biting, juice burst out in my mouth. I liked how they were not cooked with butter. They were lightly salted and peppered, allowing us to really taste the natural sweetness of the scallops and shrimp. The salmon was a bit overcooked and a tad dry but still was delicious. Overall, good variety of amazing seafood! Shrimp and Lobster Carbonara: creamy pasta with 3 pieces of thick juicy shrimp and bits of lobster meat. I usually don't like creamy pasta but this one was not overwhelming! Portion was great! Fire Roasted Baja King Salmon: salmon cooked to perfection. Our server asked if we were okay with medium rare and of course we were! Oregon Rockfish Jambalaya: a great mix of sausage, Rockfish, and shrimp. I was amazed at how much seafood the dish had. The dish was a good balance of sweet and spicy. The portion was big enough for us to share! *Atmosphere*: The view of the city, mountain, and river was truly breathtaking. The Interior of the restaurant was elegantly designed with round-shaped lights that reflected in the window when it got dark outside. There were real flowers throughout the restaurant, making it more lively and beautiful. The only thing was that it was a tad loud in the dining area. *Service*: Our server, Daniel, and his partner José were very attentive. Daniel explained the menu and answered all our questions with enthusiasm. Loved his vibe! Overall, I highly HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. Everything was perfection. 1000% I will visit again in the future. Oh and they validate parking!

I came back to dine again after a lovely happy hour experience and had an excellent dinner. My server, Lacey, was very attentive and informative. She helped me pick out a delicious steak and recommended some nice cocktail pairings as well. The NY strip steak was generously portioned and cooked exactly as ordered. I'm planning on coming back soon and exploring the dessert options.

Me and my girlfriend came here for our one year anniversary, we walked in and there was a live piano player and the atmosphere was a vibe. We were greeted by Elaina who not only was very willing to recommend dishes, but also complimented our choice in dishes. The food was great we got the sushi i forgot what roll exactly, the crispy escargot that was our first time trying it, the lobster risotto, and the single story seafood tower. The food was very good and Elaina's customer service was also very good, 5 stars definitely.

We've been in before mostly for happy hour which is nice but this time we went in for dinner to celebrate our anniversary and it was a great experience. Our server, Seiwa, was incredibly nice, professional, and attentive and impressed us with the quality of service. The food was fantastic as well, all the seafood was perfectly cooked and everything was incredibly flavorful. After we were done with our meals He even brought over a small piece cake for us because of it being our anniversary. Overall it was a very nice experience and we loved the food and the service and of course the amazing view.

If you're in Portland and looking for a place with spectacular views, Portland City is a must-visit! A group of us stopped by for a few drinks before heading out to dinner, and we were absolutely blown away by the panoramic views of the city. The scenery alone is worth the trip! The steakhouse is fantastic, offering mouthwatering dishes that are sure to impress. We loved that they have live music from Monday to Friday, which adds a lively vibe to the atmosphere. The happy hour is another highlight, providing great deals on drinks and appetizers. One unique feature is the Chef's tasting room, which accommodates just 16 guests. This intimate setting would be perfect for a special occasion or an exclusive dining experience. Portland City combines amazing views, delicious food, great service and a vibrant atmosphere. It's the perfect spot to relax with friends before heading out for dinner. Highly recommend checking it out!

The Good: the view of course is amazing, the place is beautiful and well decorated, our waitress was so kind and helpful, and I got a Dragon Fizz and it was very yummy. The tableware, glassware, and serving plates are all tasteful, and the white table clothes of course always feel fancy (especially in Portland). They added the Absence of Proof non-alcoholic drink section to the menu since the last time I was there and I really appreciate being able to get a fun drink in the middle of the day without there being alcohol in it.  The Bad: I'm going to be 100% honest and say that I was kind of wildly disappointed in our visit. And probably more disappointed because it was Portland City Grill and this is supposed to be such a Portland institution. We went for lunch and the service was kind of terrible. I understand that lunch isn't a hugely popular time for them but for a mostly empty restaurant the food and drink took an extremely long time to come out and about half of our table's food showed up and then we waited for like 5-10 minutes before the other half of the table's food came out. Plus pretty much no one enjoyed their meal. I was so excited to go here because I haven't been since like 2019 maybe but this was so depressing. I got the fish and chips and the fish felt low quality and overly breaded. That being said the tartar sauce was great.

Love coming here for happy hour. It's a great place to bring family and friends. The views are amazing and all different based on which table you're at. From the right side, you'll see part of Portland downtown buildings, the beer garden and some bridges. From the center, you'll see Mount Hood, the river, and a smattering of buildings and freeways. From the left and in the actual restaurant, you'll see voodoo donut, pearl district and the river. The drinks are equally amazing too. My favorite is the prickly pear cocktail. My in laws who don't usually drink loved the ginger mule!! And love that they also do mocktails (alcoholic free drinks). The dragon fizz was super refreshing. We ordered almost all their vegetarian happy hour snacks and they were all really good. We got the truffle fries, tempura fried green beans, and bruschetta. They also validate parking in the building, just so you know!

I was really looking forward to eating here after I had heard about the view, and it really is a stunning look of the city! I feel like this has to be one of the tallest buildings around. My family and I came in for lunch on a weekday. We had a reservation but didn't really need it, as it was fairly empty. They sat us in a spot with the great view, which I really appreciated. We got the Clam Chowder, the Baby Iceberg Wedge Salad, the Oregon Rockfish Jambalaya, the Kung Pao Calamari, and the East Meets West Crab Cake, and Fish and Chips. It was a bit too much food. The calamari was a huge portion, and we probably could have done without one item. Everything was great, but I was not a huge fan of the salad -- it was literally a big head of iceberg lettuce doused in dressing. My favorite was probably the crab cake, and the jambalaya. The jambalaya was more like a curry, but it was so flavorful. The calamari was really unique and loved the spicy, sweet sauce on it. Definitely recommend dining here if you can! Mostly for the views, but the food isn't bad. It's quite pricey and you'll probably end up spending a bit of coin, so might be a better option for dinner.
